2019 is finally here and we can’t wait to let you know what plans we have in store this year. We’re so excited to get back into running workshops and meeting many more inspirational young people from across London & Essex. But before we tell you about what to expect for the next year, let's take a look back at some of the autumn highlights.
In September we launched Season 4 of the Vlogstar Challenge. We welcomed Tomi Ojo, Season 3 Vlogstar Challenge finalist, to the Media Trust team as the new Project Coordinator for the programme. She brings with her experience as a participant and dedicated content creator.
Our monthly open workshops at Academy London (Google) in Victoria produced content from so many amazing and talented young people, check out the behind the scenes footage on our Instagram Stories.
One thing that stood out the most for us most this autumn was the variety of different organisations we visited across London and Essex. From young carers to learners with hearing impairments, one thing is for sure, once we empower young people with the skills and confidence to find their voice, they shared some incredible stories.
Make sure to check out below these three amazing and powerful submissions!
Alicia's response to climate change: 'What am I passionate about?'
Javaun’s unique solution to the rise of knife crime: 'Gloves On Knives Away!!'
Princess’s inspiring spoken word piece about the power of: 'Extraordinary Dreams'
Our mission for 2019 is to reach more young people than ever. We want young people from London and Essex to influence a generation through their stories!
